Clarence E. Haeg

May 6, 1936 ~ October 18, 2017 (age 81) 81 Years Old

A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at DeSmet, Idaho for Clarence Haeg. A half hour after the rosary, a memorial service will begin at 10:00 AM. Father Robert Erickson will officiate. Food and fellowship will follow the service at the Tekoa Event Center. A private burial service will be held in Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, Washington later in the week.   Mr. Haeg, a lifelong Plummer area farmer, died while clearing trees on his farm in Lovell Valley.

He was born May 6, 1936 on his grandparent’s farm near Plummer to Raymond W. and Katherine M. (Stare) Haeg. He started school in Tekoa at St. Joseph’s Academy, then later continued his education in Plummer, Idaho graduating from Plummer High School in 1954.

Clarence farmed all of his life in the Lovell Valley area and was still active in the Haeg Farms operations at the time of his death. He had moved from the farm to Conklin Park on Lake Coeur d’Alene six years ago.

Clarence married Susan Johnson on September 7, 1968 at DeSmet.  The couple had two children, Marcie and Chad. They were later divorced. Clarence married Barbara Moe on May 5, 1978 at Potlatch, Idaho. Barbara had two daughters from her previous marriage, Lori and Dianna, who also joined the family.

Clarence was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Worley. His life was devoted to farming, family, and grandkids. The couple enjoyed traveling, and have visited all 50 states, Mexico, and Europe. He will be remembered for his caring nature and generosity.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Barbara who resides at Conklin Park; his children, Marcie M. Haeg of Denver, CO, Chad (Amy) Haeg of Plummer, ID, Lori Sievers of Tekoa, WA and Dianna (Michael) Smith of Troy, ID; his sister, Anna Marie (Gary) Willard of Plummer, ID; six grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Sylvia Smith, Satyana Bilante, Mandlahn Bilante, Cale Haeg, and Carsten Haeg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Raymond, Eugene and Dennis Haeg.
