DALE MORLAN Obituary

Dale Morlan, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at home with his wife by his side.

Dale was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on April 24, 1947 to John and Patricia (Robinson) Morlan.  He grew up in Oklahoma, Texas, and California.  He graduated from San Marcus High School in Santa Barbara, California.  In high school, he loved participating in track, especially pole vaulting.  He also enjoyed baseball, bowling, and surfing.

Dale married his high school sweetheart Teresa A. Bryant on June 10th, 1966 in Santa Barbara, California, and the couple made their home in western Washington, Kent and Enumclaw, where they raised their family.  The couple moved to Idaho in 1994 where they made their home south of DeSmet, ID.

Dale worked as a truck driver most of his life until he became a paraplegic at the age of 42.  After that he still enjoyed his mini farm where he raised every kind of animal you could imagine, but mainly cattle.

Dale also loved hunting and fishing in the pond on his property.  He was known for his sense of humor and his friendliness.   He recently was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling to Hawaii.

Dale was a long time member and served at the Tensed Community Church and always wanted to leave the legacy of his strong faith in the Lord.  His main hope was that his family and those he came into contact with would see Christ in his life.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years Teresa Morlan; his daughter Shelley (Mike) Sharpe of Post Falls, ID, his son Michael Morlan of Post Falls, ID, and his son Daniel (Brandy) Morlan of Priest River, ID; and his sister Donna Matthews of Bakersville, CA.  The pride of his life was his 9 grandchildren and their spouses, and 4 great grandchildren.   He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request, no memorial service will be held.   Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa, Washington is caring for the family.   On line condolences may be left at www.kramercares.com.
