DAVID MCARTHUR DANIELS

Funeral services for David Daniels, age 74, will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rose Creek Longhouse in Worley, Idaho with Caj Matheson officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Worley.    A Rosary will be held Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Rose Creek Longhouse in Worley, Idaho with Father Bob Erickson officiating.  Mr. Daniels passed away Thursday at his home in Worley, Idaho.

David Daniels was born June 5, 1944 at DeSmet, Idaho to George and Genevieve (Whistocken) Daniels.   He attended the Tribal School at DeSmet, ID.    Mr. Daniels worked as a self-employed logger most of his adult life.    He logged in Washington, Northern Idaho, and Alaska, working for Alaska Pacific Logging for several years.     He retired from logging in 2006.  He has made his home in Worley for the past few years.

David Daniels married Delrene Lane at Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1972.    The couple raised two children, but were later divorced.    David lived with Mary Pearson for 13 years from 2003 until 2016 when she passed away.

David was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a cowboy and loved to rodeo where he rode bulls.    He loved race horses, playing bingo, and was an avid hunter and fisherman earlier in his life.

Survivors include his children, Tyrone Daniels of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Kristi (Adrian) Long of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a daughter Margaret Eiselein of Spokane, WA; his siblings, John Daniels of Plummer, ID, Alvina Brown of Wapato, WA, Yvonne Mishell of Spokane, WA, Genevieve Smith of Spokane, WA, and Teresa Faber of Plummer, Idaho, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by siblings Tyrone Daniels and Francis Smith.
