Donna Rae Covi, age 78, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.    

She was born December 17, 1938 at Nebraska City, Nebraska to Dewey and Marguerite (Pittman) Cottingham.  She was raised in Tecumseh, Nebraska where she attended schools, graduating from Tecumseh High School.  Following high school, she attended the Lincoln School of Business in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Donna married Richard R. Covi at Lacy, Washington on May 29, 1981.  

Donna worked as a Medical Transcriptionist in hospitals for many years.  She retired in 2000.  She moved to the Tensed, Idaho area from Longview, Washington in 2001. 

Her hobbies included making ceramic dolls, and other arts and crafts.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Survivors include her husband Richard at the Tensed, Idaho home, her children Sue Disana of Longview, Washington, Doug Disana of Red Wing, Minnesota, Genette Jennings of Tensed, Idaho and Mike Meyers of Yelm, Washington, two step children, Rich Covi of Shoreline, Washington and Gary Covi of Puyallup, Washington; a sister Betty Bennett of Tensed, Idaho, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by siblings Maryann James, Darrell Cottingham, and Duane Cottingham.

A private family memorial service will be held at the family home.
