A Mass of Christian Burial for Lee Rose Seyler, age 33, will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at DeSmet, Idaho. Father Peter Byrne will officiate at the service and burial will follow at the DeSmet Mission Cemetery. Rosary will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Evan Abraham Longhouse at DeSmet. Lee Rose Seyler died Sunday at her parents’ home in Plummer, Idaho.
Lee Rose Seyler was born December 13, 1985 at St. Maries, Idaho to Lawrence Seyler and Dixie Saxon Seyler. She attended schools on the reservation and graduated from Plummer High School. Lee then attended some college at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Lee Rose Seyler worked in housekeeping at the Tribal Casino at Worley, and had also worked in the deli at the Benewah Market in Plummer.
She was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lee’s hobbies included cooking, reading, board games, and playing with her kids. She was witty, outgoing, intelligent, and enjoyed listening to music. She was never married.
Survivors include her children, Alyah Samuels, Tahkisa George, Thia George, and Duriel George Jr.; her godson, Frankie Redfeather SiJohn; her parents, Dixie and Ernie Stensgar of Plummer; and her siblings, Mandy Morrell, Duane Morrell Jr., Daylon Seyler, Desmond Seyler, Dion Seyler, Dustin Seyler, Santana Martinez, and Ardena Finley.
