Royall Keith Brown passed away at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, California on June 10, 2018 at age 81. He had been a resident of West Covina for 45 years. Prior to that time he worked for the State Water Rights Board while attending Stanford University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. After graduating from Stanford he worked in the Aerospace Industry on various projects including the Saturn 5 launch vehicle used for the Apollo Program. During that time he also earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern California.
He was passionate about the Community in which he lived, and volunteered his time for activities such as being a member of the Senior Services Commission, and assisting at the Library. Royall never lost his interest in water and was elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District from 1988 to 1992, and regularly attended its meetings for decades after that time. He was also actively involved in politics throughout his lifetime. He loved Skiing, Rooting for the Stanford Football Team, and his annual visits to his farm in Idaho.
Royall, who never married, is survived by a Sister, Boneva Allinger of Wilton, California, Cousins Bernadine Baltz and Donald St. George of Fernwood, Idaho,and Roger (Linda) St. George of Coeur d'Alene Idaho.
At his request, final internment will be at the Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, Washington with a Private service.
