Richard L. Lehn, age 85, a longtime Farmington, Washington farmer, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Bishop Place in Pullman, WA from age related causes.
He was born November 11, 1931 at Espanola, Washington to Bernt C. and Olive (Moody) Lehn. He attended schools in the Cheney area, graduating from Cheney High School in 1949. He attended WSU and graduated with a degree in animal husbandry. Richard later attended the University of Idaho Law School, graduating with a Doctorate degree in 1973.
Richard married Mary Anna Hevel of March 21, 1959 at Tekoa. They made their home near Farmington where they farmed. Richard also practiced law in Tekoa for 13 years, from 1973 thru 1986. After retiring from his law practice, he returned to the farm, retiring in 1993.
Richard enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially WSU Cougars and the Seattle Seahawks. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed the daily newspaper.
Survivors include his wife Mary of Farmington, WA; one son Joel Lehn of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by twin infant sons, Jay and Jon Lehn, a daughter, Diane Lehn in 2008; and his siblings, Elvida Merriman, Howard, Robert, Donald, Berton, and Milton (Jack) Lehn.
At his request, no public memorial will be held. A private urn burial will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Farmington. Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa, Washington is caring for the family. On line condolences may be left at www.kramercares.com.
