SHARON AGNES (MOCTELME) PAKOOTAS

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sharon Pakootas,   age 69, will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at DeSmet, Idaho.  Rosary will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Evan Abraham Tribal Longhouse at DeSmet with Father Peter Byrne, S.J. officiating at the services.  Cremation and Urn Burial will be at the DeSmet Mission Cemetery.  Sharon passed away on May 31, 2019 at her home in Plummer, Idaho.

Sharon Agnes Moctelme was born on June 13, 1949 at DeSmet, Idaho to Marie Moctelme and Leslie Hamilton.  She was raised in the Seattle area and spent her early life there.   She attended schools in Seattle, including Garfield High School.   She later attended college classes at the University of Idaho.

Sharon Pakootas worked for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe in Human Resources for many years.  She later worked in enrollment for the Tribe.   She has made her home in Plummer for the past 10 years.

Sharon was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, enjoyed Korean dramas, knitting and crocheting, and camping.

Survivors include her two daughters, Tina Milus of Plummer, Idaho, Angel (John) Towne of Lakewood, WA and her sons, Jimmy Milus of Plummer, Idaho, Harold (Belinda Fredrick) Johnson of Spanaway, WA, Michael (Naheed)  Johnson of Maple Valley, WA, and sixteen grandchildren.   Also surviving are her sister, Lovella Jones of Seattle, and a brother, Christopher Randle of Plummer.
