RHONDA MARY (GODDARD) LOZON

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rhonda  M.  Lozon, age 55, will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at DeSmet, Idaho.  Rosary was recited Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Evan Abraham Longhouse at DeSmet.  Father Robert Erickson, S.J. will officiate at the services and burial will follow at the DeSmet Mission Cemetery.  Rhonda Lozon passed away Tuesday morning, October 30th.

Rhonda  M.  Goddard was born on November 1, 1962 at Spokane, Washington to Ronald and Rose (Abraham) Goddard.  Rhonda attended the tribal school at DeSmet and high school in Plummer, Idaho.   Later in life, she attended the University of Idaho in Moscow where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business.

Rhonda Goddard married John Lozon in 1982 at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  The couple raised 5 children, and were later divorced.

Rhonda Lozon was currently working as the Human Resource Manager for the Coeur d’Alene Casino at Worley.   Throughout the years, she had also worked as a dispatcher for the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police, as a Tribal Police Officer, worked for the Tribal Department of Education, and for the Tribal Development Corporation, and also at the Warpath store in Plummer.

She was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.   Rhonda enjoyed camping, gardening, yard sales, and drying Salmon.   Rhonda loved to gamble at the area casinos and was an avid bingo player.

Survivors include her children, Brian ‘Quilly’ Lozon of Wyoming, Shelby Lozon of DeSmet, Val Lozon of Tensed, John Wayne Lozon of DeSmet, and Cecilia Kuhn of DeSmet; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; her siblings, Ronald Goddard of Worley, ID, Paulette Goddard of Plummer, ID, and Debbie Pierce of Plummer, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Hilary Zepeda.
