Alice was born February 24, 1915 in Marion County, Kansas to Theo and Anna (Nuss) Skibbe. She was the 7th of 9 siblings in her family. She attended schools in Marion County and graduated from Wellington High School in 1933. During World War II, Alice worked for Northrup Aircraft in California as a riveter in a wing assembly plant for four years. While in California, she met Laurel Wolf who was a trainer for the Army Air Corp. Alice married Laurel on December 24, 1945 in Latah where they later moved to farm and lived for several years.
In Latah, Alice was a farm wife, working hard and helping Laurel with the operation of the family farm. In 1994, they retired and moved to Spokane Valley. The couple had no children, but were loved by many who considered them a wonderful extra set of parents or grandparents. They also had many dear friends and family throughout the area.
She was a member of the Latah Country Bible Church and taught Sunday school there. Alice enjoyed gardening, baking, camping and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband Laurel; brothers Clarence, Albert, Ted, and Allen; sisters Clara Hagner, Edna Worden, Evelyn Evans, and Pearl Doyle; her nephew Ron Worden; and her niece Carol Ritter. Alice is survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
