A graveside service for Betty Jean Wicklund, age 64, will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, Washington. A reception will follow at the Tekoa Community Center on Crosby Street in Tekoa.
Betty Jean Wolfe was born September 11, 1956 at Spokane, Washington to Leon and Ann (Johnson) Wolfe. She attended schools in Tekoa and graduated from Tekoa High School in 1975. Betty married Michael Wicklund on July 16, 1977 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and they made their home in Tekoa. Betty worked as a house cleaner and later worked as a nursery worker at Plants of the Wild in Tekoa from 1999 till 2007. Betty moved to southern Idaho be near her family in 2007. Betty passed away on June 20, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital in Meridian, Idaho.
Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, and needle work. She lived to face book with her friends and family. She loved animals was always a kind person.
Survivors include her children, Tabitha (Bill) Fleming and Phillip (Leanne) Wicklund; her siblings, Laura (Tim) Hokenson and Kathy (Steve) Smith; her father Leon Wolfe, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
