A graveside memorial service for Edward J. Fuchs, age 86, will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Waverly Cemetery in Waverly, WA.  Pastor Kathy Lee Kramer will officiate at the service.    Mr. Fuchs passed away November 26th in Coeur d’Alene, ID.

 Edward was born February 19, 1930 at Tekoa, WA to Michael and Emma (Reiland) Fuchs.  He attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Tekoa, and then then helped his father on the family farm at Tekoa.

Edward married Martha Osterberg at Coeur d’Alene on Sept. 19, 1952.   The couple later divorced.  Edward lived in Tensed, later in Sanders, ID where he worked for the Benewah Co. Road Dept.   Edward went to work in the 1970’s for Pacific Crown Lumber Co. at Plummer where he was a road builder for the logging company.  In the late 1990’s, Edward worked for a landscaping company in Coeur d’Alene.  He retired in 2004, and has lived in Hayden for the past 3 years.

Mr. Fuchs enjoyed fishing and the time he spent at the Coeur d’Alene Casino.

Survivors include 2 sons, John Fuchs of Bonney Lake, WA, Kim Fuchs of Tekoa, WA, 1 daughter, Cathy (Cliff) Curtis of Waverly, WA; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Neil Fuchs of Tekoa, Ted Fuchs of Spokane, and a sister Rita Moore of Sacramento, CA.    Also surviving is his companion of several years, Beverly Thomas.     He was preceded in death by 8 siblings, and a son, Ricky Lynn Fuchs.

Memorial gifts may be given to the Waverly Cemetery.   Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa, WA is handling the arrangements.
