LILLIAN LAVONNE (RORIE) BOND

A Celebration of Life for LaVonne Bond, age 90, will be held on September 14th, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Plummer Assembly of God Church.   Pastor Cheyenne McElberry will officiate at the service.  A reception will follow the service at the church.  LaVonne passed away on September 3, 2023 at Spokane, WA.  Kramer Funeral Home of Tekoa is caring for the family.

LaVonne was born April 10, 1933 at Morrilton, Arkansas to Grover Rorie and Ava Latimer Rorie.   She grew up on Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas, and she attended schools in Arkansas.  Lavonne married Loyd Ross on December 16, 1949 at Gould, Arkansas.   The couple lived in California for many years.   LaVonne later married Allen Dale Bond in Reno, Nevada in 1981.   LaVonne woked as an Apartment manager in Walnut Creek, in Concord, and at Point Ruies Station in California.   After retirement, LaVonne and Allen moved to Idaho 23 years ago.  Her husband Allen died in November of 2015.   She continued to make her home in Plummer.

LaVonne was a ham radio operator, and was a member of the Benewah Babes.   She loved to paint pictures, enjoyed crocheting, and loved to play games with her friends on the computer.  She had been on the board for the Plummer Senior Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Ross of Plummer, five grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters.   She was the last of seven children in the Rorie family.

Her grandchildren were Angie Radcliffe and Kent Radcliffe of Plummer, Idaho, and Dan and Lori Anderson of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Brian Anderson of Kansas.

Memorial contributions to cover funeral costs may be left at Umpqua Bank in Plummer, Idaho.
