MICHAEL GEORGE Obituary
A Funeral Service and 7 Drum Ceremony for Michael T. George Jr., age 32, will be held Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Evan Abraham Longhouse at DeSmet, Idaho. Rosary will be held Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the Longhouse. Burial will follow at the DeSmet Mission Cemetery. Mr. George passed away August 17, 2019 in auto accident near Tensed, ID.
He was born February 8, 1987 at Spokane, Washington to Michael George Sr. and Simone Sampson. He was raised in the Tensed, Idaho area. He attended the Coeur d’Alene Tribal School and the Lakeside High School graduating in 2005. In high school, he was active in arts.
Michael worked for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe in Lake Management in the Natural Resources Department.
He was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe.
Michael is survived by his son Michael George of Tensed; 2 siblings, Dawn Tonasket and Dominic Tonasket, both of Spokane, Washington; his life partner Stephanie Weaver, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Zach George.
