A Mass of Christian Burial for Marcus Samuels-McDaniel, age 30, was held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rose Creek Longhouse at Worley, Idaho.  Rosary was held Thursday evening, November 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Longhouse with Father Robert Erickson, S.J. officiating at the services.   Cremation followed the services.   Marcus died Sunday, October 30, 2016 in an automobile accident in Stevens County, Washington.

He was born November 30, 1985 at Spokane, Washington to Gregory McDaniels and Arlene Samuels.  He attended grade schools in Spokane through the 6th grade, and then attended the DeSmet Tribal School, and then Lakeside High School at Plummer, Idaho.  

Marcus worked at the Coeur d’Alene Casino in Worley, Idaho for several years, as a security guard, a cashier, customer service, and as a janitor.  He had also worked in Spokane doing phone sales.

He was a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spokane.

Marcus enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his friends.  He was never married.

Survivors include his mother Arlene Samuels at her Spokane home; siblings Jermaine, J.J., Gregory Jr., Blue, and Jennifer.  He is also survived by several cousins and many aunts & uncles.
