Margaret (Horlacher) Heise

On January 12, 2017, Margaret concluded the story of her life peacefully by saying, “I just want to go home, “ and so she did.
Margaret was one of seven siblings born to Walter and Ida (Leitz) Horlacher, Rosalia, WA. She was raised in the Rosalia area attending the Riggs School and Rosalia High School. While in high school, she worked for Dr. Ogden as a dental assistant.
In 1946 she met William (Bill) Heise, and later that year they were married on her birthday, December 18, 1946. The couple made their home in Farmington, where Margaret was a homemaker and farm wife. Together they were the parents of four children, Dean (Susan) Heise, Colfax WA, Doug Heise, Chewelah, WA, Connie Heise-Marple, Phoenix, AZ, and Lori (Heise)(Ty) Hoffmann, Greenacres, WA. She had 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was active in many clubs and organizations; Farmington Garden Club, Skyline Ladies Club, Pythian Sisters, Farmington Cub Scouts Leader, Member of the Farmington Methodist Church, Methodist Sunday School Teacher, 4-H Garden Leader, Palouse Empire Fair Judge, Bluebird/Campfire Leader, Ballot/Voting Official, Reading Volunteer at Oakesdale Elementary, and Farmington Quilters Club.
Margaret loved to cook, bake, garden, and can fruit and vegetables. Her favorite past time was quilting; making quilts for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as friends.
Survivors include her husband, Bill of 70 years at Farmington and her children. She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Ida Leitz Horlacher, her siblings; Paul Horlacher, Evelyn St. John, Homer Horlacher, Mildred Riley, Stanley Horlacher and Lester(LeeMoin)Horlacher.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
