ROBERTA J HENDRICKX

A Mass of Christian Burial for Roberta J. Hendrickx, age 54, will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rose Creek Longhouse at Worley, Idaho.  Rosary will be Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. on October 29, 2019 at Rose Creek Longhouse at Worley with Father Peter Byrne, S.J. officiating at the services.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery.  Roberta passed away on October 27, 2019 at the Lacrosse Care Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Roberta was born on September 27, 1965 at Spokane, Washington to Garry L. and Alice (Frank) Hendrickx.  Roberta attended elementary schools in Plummer and  High School in Worley, Idaho graduating in 1984.  Roberta made her home in Plummer, Idaho, but has been a resident of the Lacrosse Care Center for the past 7 years.

Roberta worked for the Coeur d’Alene Tribal School in DeSmet for 1 year, and worked at the healing lodge in Spokane as a youth counselor for several years.  She had also worked as a bartender at the Moose Lodge in Omak and the Other Place in Worley.

Roberta was a member of the Confederate Tribes of the Colville Reservation, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She was never married.

Roberta enjoyed playing pool, bingo, and spending time at the casino.

Survivors include her siblings, Michael Hendrickx of Plummer, ID,  Trina Hendrickx of Worley, Idaho, Prudy Marchand of Worley, Idaho, and Angelita Ashby of Plummer, Idaho; an adopted son Kevin Gorr, and 4 granddaughters, Cassidy, Alexa, Haiden, and Sage Gorr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
