SANDRA KAY (GORDON) HANSEN

A memorial service for Sandra Kay Hansen, age 76, will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Farmington SDA school in Farmington, WA.  Mrs. Hansen passed away on October 8th at her home in Farmington.

She was born July 25, 1946 at Walla Walla, Washington to James and Ruth (Gradwohl) Gordon.  She attended grade school in Walla Walla and high school in Oakesdale where she graduated in 1964.  The family had moved to Farmington in 1957.

Sandra married William A. Hansen on March 5, 1971 at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and the couple made their home at Farmington.  They lived in Farmington for 49 years.

Sandra worked as a bookkeeper for several area grain companies over the years.  She had worked at Pure Grow in Farmington, Garfield Union Warehouse, Auvil Warner at Belmont, and retired from State Line Processors in Tekoa after 18 years.

Her hobbies included ceramics, sewing, cooking, gardening, and bowling.  She was always friendly and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Survivors include her husband William at the Farmington home; six children, Debbie (Mike) Hurley, Christina Kern, William Hansen Jr., Chad  (Shelly) Hansen, Tammy Kelly, and Pamela;20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild;  two brothers, Stan and James (Marianne) Gordon.

Memorial gifts may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
